1. No Data Collection

MDFileConverter is a client-side tool. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. All file processing — whether Excel, CSV, Word, JSON, TSV, or Markdown — happens entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript. Your files and input data never leave your device.

2. Local Storage

This site uses your browser's localStorage API for the following purposes only:

• Saving your dark/light mode preference
• Storing your converter options (trim cells, skip empty rows, etc.)
• Keeping a local conversion history (the last 10 conversions, stored only on your device)
• Recording whether you've dismissed the privacy banner

This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

3. Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand aggregate page traffic. This does not track individual users, does not use cookies, and does not collect personally identifiable information.

4. Advertising

MDFileConverter may display third-party advertisements. Ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies to serve relevant ads. Please refer to the respective ad provider's privacy policy for details. We will update this section when ads are enabled.

5. Pro Version

If you sign up for the MDFileConverter Pro waiting list, your email address is collected solely to notify you at launch. It is never shared with third parties and you can unsubscribe at any time.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
